Oscar nominations 2012: the fallout begins

Generally, I find whining about how the Academy sucks pretty boring. It’s like whining about how Nickelback is a shitty band. I mean, we know. We know. But there were some pretty epic fuck-ups this year. Not just Fassbender, Swinton, and Brooks, but as the full article mentions, Michael Shannon for “Take Shelter.” Patton Oswalt for “Young Adult.” Hell, even Charlize Theron for “Young Adult.” Not to mention Andy fucking Serkis’s genius work in “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.” No, I’m not kidding. The man is genius. So basically the Academy can suck it. I mean what crack are they on? You would think this was the same crowd that voted “Crash” best picture. *cough cough*
